What are the trends in Multimedia Production?

Audio

1) Spotify

Spotify is a Swedish Audio Streaming Platform founded April, 2006. It is currently the world's largest music streaming service provider with over 365 million monthly active listeners. (Guilty as charged!)

Spotify offers digital copyrighted music and podcasts including more than 70 million songs, from record labels, media companies, and content creators.

2) Airpods/Earpods

These wireless Bluetooth-activated earbuds have been on the top of the trends since September 2016 and even more so March 2019. Why are they popular? Despite it's expensive pricing and it's constant need to recharge unlike the usual earphones?

Well, the dilemma for the constant "wire-crumpling-in-our-pockets" seem to be liberating for these non-wired bluetooth babies. Not having a cable connecting to your phone gives a certain sense of ease, it avoids tangling, accidents, and is a lot less cumbersome.

3) Alexa AI

Have you heard of Alexa? The ever-so-popular digital voice assistant is an audio-generated machine capable of performing tasks through voice-command.

She can create to-do lists, dial a phone call for your pizza deliveries, play you music, and integrate with smart home devices.

Video Production

1) Tiktok

As of July 2018, Tiktok was reporting 500 million monthly active users worldwide. That’s bigger than Twitter, half the size of Instagram, and it's better than Vine.

The idea behind TikTok is pretty simple: it’s a platform for sharing short videos, and it can be up to 15 seconds long, there are different songs and filters you can apply to them, and you can create collaborative split-screen videos by replying to someone else’s post.

Why is Tiktok so popular? The kids love it. Adults don’t understand it. But there’s no denying its popularity. With it's user-friendly interface, no wonder video creators are gushing all about it.

2) Capcut

Capcut is a feature packed popular video editing application that makes android users easily post-produce their audiovisual creations.

It gained popularity because of it's link with Tiktok which makes it's users easily post their creations on the said app.

1) Film Cameras

Yes, the hype of usage in film photography is back, No, we're not talking about DSLRs and other high quality gadgets, we're talking vintage. Disposables, Point-and-Shoot, Pentax, you name it. But why is it coming back despite the advancement of today's technology? Why go back, right? Well the Gen-Z kids are tired of how accessible a perfect photo can be, which is why people are putting down their smartphones or DSLR cameras in favor of shooting the old-fashioned way.

2) Instagram

Instagram is an American photo and video sharing social networking service. The app allows users to upload media that can be edited with filters and organized by hashtags and geographical tagging. Posts can be shared publicly or with pre-approved followers.
